Flux Modulation Enhancement of dc-SQUID Based on Intrinsic Josephson Junctions Made of Bi<sub>2</sub>Sr<sub>2</sub>CaCuO<sub>8+δ</sub> Thin Films

Direct-current superconducting quantum interference device (dc-SQUID) based on intrinsic Josephson junction (IJJ) has been fabricated using Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) films grown MgO substrates with surface steps. The loop parallel to the film across step edge contains two IJJ stacks along edge. number of crystallographically stacked for each SQUIDs were 40, 18 and 3. Those except one 40 IJJs revealed clear periodic modulation critical current flux quanta through loops. It is anticipated that phase locking an effect depth dc-SQUID.
